I am currently completing my PhD at Simon Fraser University, supervised by Arthur Robson and Greg Dow. I expect to be on the junior faculty job market in the fall of 2016.

My research is in the somewhat unusual fields of ‘Biological Basis of Economic Behavior’ and ‘Economic Prehistory’. I am an active member of Human Evolutionary Studies Program  and Invisible Handball, the long standing Econ Dept soccer team.

My particular fascination is with the interaction between evolution by natural selection and early human institutions including language, marriage, warfare, fertility and altruism/parochialism. I have several working papers in this area, please click on ‘Research‘ to see abstracts and/or papers.
